Perspective Intelligence 1.6: AI That Gets Things Done
Perspective Intelligence 1.6: AI That Gets Things Done
It’s Wednesday morning. March 18th. And I’m sitting here thinking about the past month of the 1.6 release cycle for Perspective Intelligence. I think you’re going to love this new version.
I looked up a contact. Checked the weather. Composed an email. Set a reminder. All of that happened in one app. And it took me maybe ninety seconds.
I Don’t Need Another Chatbot
I’ve tried every AI app. I still use them often. Most of them can’t access your contacts, your calendar, or any other tools on your device.
And yeah, I could use Siri or other talking assistants. But if I’m out and about, that’s not always practical. I need something I can pull up quickly and quietly and just get the answer.
We wanted to reposition Perspective Intelligence from a chatbot to a tool that gets things done.
Tool Agents
In version 1.6, we call them Tool Agents. A Tool Agent lives on your device and helps you get things done. It can query your contacts, check the weather, search the web, set reminders, compose emails, find points of interest nearby, and pull from RSS feeds.
Fun fact. I was testing these features when the Apple announcements came out at the beginning of the month. I had no idea about them because I was so deep in testing. I found out through our app.
I use it every single day. This morning someone asked me for a time to meet. I asked Perspective Intelligence “am I free on the 23rd?” and it came back with “yes, you’re free in the afternoon. You have meetings in the morning at 8 and 9.”
You don’t have to waste time switching between a bunch of apps to get things done. You can do it all with Perspective Intelligence.
No servers. It’s fast. It feels like an OS for your phone.
Persona Agents
Tool Agents are the headline of 1.6. But there’s something else I love about this update.
Persona Agents. And you can even chain them together.
Every user gets three of them built in. The guide agent is like a tutorial for the app. The writer agent helps with writing tasks. The coder agent helps with coding tasks. And this is just the beginning.
If you’re an All-Access member, you can build your own agents with your own settings and instructions.
I’ve built custom agents for different parts of my workflow, and it’s helped me get more done.
What Else Is New
New chat and vision models now better support older devices. If your device can run them, you get them.
Live audio transcription and memories are now free for everyone. Transcribing audio files still requires a subscription.
You also get a full week to try All Access before you buy.
And we fixed some pesky Voiceover bugs.
What It Costs
Free tier gets you full chat, OCR, vision, image generation, live transcription, memories, Apple Watch support, and saved prompts.
All Access adds Tool Agents, voice mode, and custom persona agents. Five dollars and ninety-nine cents a month or forty-nine dollars and ninety-nine cents a year.
Your subscription is used to fund development, not to train with your data.
Where It Runs
Right now, Perspective Intelligence is available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. And the Mac version is coming shortly.
You can start for free on the App Store.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

Hey, this is fantastic, I must try it soon. What is the difference between live audio transcription & transcribing audio files? Thanks.
